Singapore, 15 October 2026 – The 24-hr PSI forecast for 16 Oct 2026 is Unhealthy to Low Very Unhealthy. Please check the latest 1-hr PM2.5 concentration readings and personal guide when deciding on carrying out activities in the next few hours.
Update on Hotspot and Haze Situation
2 Showers fell over several areas in Singapore this morning. As at 6pm, the 1-hr PM2.5 concentration readings were 95 – 208 µg/m3, in (Band 2, Elevated / Band 3, High), and the 24-hr PSI was 121 – 186, in the Unhealthy range. Dense smoke haze from fires in Kalimantan continued to drift towards Singapore under prevailing southeasterly winds. Smoke haze was also observed over Sumatra.
3 Tomorrow, some showers are expected over Singapore and the surrounding region, but southern Sumatra and parts of Kalimantan are likely to remain dry. With the winds forecast to be east-southeasterly or southeasterly, smoke haze is likely to continue to be carried from Kalimantan towards Singapore.
4 Over the weekend, more showers are forecast over Singapore and parts of Kalimantan. Winds are expected to shift to blow from the southeast or south, which could reduce the transport of smoke haze from Kalimantan to Singapore. Some smoke haze from Sumatra may however still drift towards Singapore.
Activity Guidelines
5 The health impact of haze is dependent on one’s health status, the PSI level, and the length and intensity of outdoor activity. For immediate outdoor activities, please check the 1-hr PM2.5 concentration readings and personal guide. Use the 24-hr PSI forecast and corresponding health advisories for planning next day outdoor activities.

For information on the distribution of hotspots detected over the past fortnight in the region, please refer to the ASEAN Specialised Meteorological Centre (ASMC) website at http://asmc.asean.org.

Areas with lighter smoke haze are not indicated as they cannot be clearly discerned from satellite imagery. The full extent of the hotspot and smoke haze situation could not be determined due to extensive cloud cover.
