Singapore, 13 September 2026 – It was dry over Singapore today. As at 5pm, the 1-hr PM2.5 concentration readings were 34 – 57 µg/m3, in Band 1 – 2 (Normal to Elevated), and the 24-hr PSI was 68 – 82, in the Moderate range.
Update on Hotspot and Haze Situation
2 Moderate to dense smoke plumes continue to be observed from fires in Kalimantan, some of which were observed to be drifting towards Singapore. Smoke plumes were also observed in southern Sumatra.
3 Showers are forecast over northern Sumatra and northwestern Borneo in the coming days. Dry weather conditions are expected to persist over Kalimantan and central and southern Sumatra. With the prevailing winds blowing from the southeast or south, there remains a risk of smoke haze affecting Singapore. The 24-hr PSI for Singapore is forecast to be in the Moderate – Low Unhealthy range.
