Singapore, 16 September 2026 – Singapore experienced dry conditions today. As at 5pm, the 1-hr PM2.5 concentration readings were 34 – 59 µg/m3, in Band 2 (Elevated), and the 24-hr PSI was 71 – 89, in the Moderate range.
Update on Hotspot and Haze Situation
2 Improvements to Singapore’s air quality were observed today as showers continued over parts of Kalimantan. However, some smoke haze was observed to drift from the southern parts of Sumatra towards Singapore.
3 Dry conditions are expected to continue over southern and central Sumatra as well as the southern parts of Kalimantan. With the prevailing winds forecast to blow from the southeast or south, there remains some risk of haze affecting Singapore. The 24-hr PSI for Singapore is forecast to be in the Moderate – Low Unhealthy range.
