Latest Weather and Haze Situation
Typhoon Molave, situated west of the Philippines, brought rainy weather over most parts of the ASEAN region, except for Sulawesi and the Lesser Sunda Islands. Isolated hotspots were detected mainly over parts of Viet Nam, Kalimantan and the Lesser Sunda Islands but no smoke plumes were observed.
Weather and Haze Outlook
Over the next few days, Typhoon Molave is expected to track west-northwest towards Viet Nam. Under the influence of the Typhoon, widespread showers are forecast to persist over most parts of the ASEAN region. The prevailing winds are expected to be variable over the northern ASEAN region, and blow from the southeast or southwest over the southern ASEAN region.
